Our Super Specialities

  • ReLEx Smile

Relex The ReLEx Smile – NOBLADE method is the latest leap in laser vision correction. It is not only a 100% blade-free approach to laser vision correction, but is a step superior to the NoBlade approach of Femto – LASIK. In Femto-LASIK, a laser is used to create the corneal flap, which is then folded back by the surgeon to perform the LASIK procedure. While Femto-LASIK or NoBlade LASIK is superior to the more traditional method of blade LASIK, it still means that a corneal flap needs to be created in your eye.

  • Cataract

CataractCataract is the clouding of the lens of your eye that impairs vision. It is responsible for more than half of the blindness in the world, which is a grim fact, because it is a treatable condition. According to WHO statistics, in India there are more than 12 million blind eyes, of which 80% is due to cataract and is curable. Advancing age is the top most cause for cataracts.

  • LASIK surgery

Lasik Centre for Sight is a pioneer in the field of laser vision correction procedures (LASIK). We take immense pride in introducing the ‘INTRALASE-FEMTO SECOND LASER‘ technology in India.  In fact, we were the very first eye care centre to introduce the Blade-free Intralase Technology in South-East Asia. This is the same revolutionary technology that is used by NASA and the US AIR FORCE to rectify refractive errors of their astronauts and fighter pilots.

  • Retina

retinaRetina is akin to a screen on which the image of visible object is captured and sent to brain. When the retina is diseased or injured, the patient loses the capacity to see partly or completely, sometimes forever. Now avail a complete range of treatment modalities for all retinal problems like Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Detachment, Macular Disorders etc. With the latest technology, state-of-the-art infrastructure and renowned retina specialists, Centre for Sight is equipped to handle the most complex retina cases.

  • Glaucoma

glaucomaA watery fluid known as aqueous humor fills the spaces in the front one-third area of the eye. The aqueous humor is continually produced by the ciliary body and drained through channels located in the trabecular spaces of the angle of the eye at a balanced rate. With advancing age, these channels get blocked; disrupting the outflow of this fluid and resulting in raised pressure within the eye. This raised pressure then starts damaging the optic nerve leading to decreased field of vision. This condition is called GLAUCOMA or KALA MOTIA.

  • Cornea

Cornea The cornea is the transparent, dome-shaped tissue covering the front of the eye. It is a powerful refracting surface and provides about 2/3rd of the eye’s focusing power. It gives us a clear window to look through and is very important for good vision. Diseases of the cornea lead to loss of its transparency, thus reducing the vision.

  • Pediatric Ophthalmology

Pediatric Eye doctors for children are distinctive and trained differently because the type of eye diseases that affect children are different from those affecting the adults and require different kind of instruments to diagnose and treat. Although most eye diseases that affect an adult can affect a child’s eyes too, the most common eye diseases seen in children are squint eyes, refractive error, lazy eye disease, watering of the eye, developmental or congenital cataract, eye allergies, eye injuries, Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) and sometimes, tumours.

  • Oculoplasty & Facial Aesthetics

    Oculoplasty

    Look Good. Feel Good

Ophthalmic plastic surgery or ‘Oculoplasty’ is the branch of ophthalmology that deals not only with the diseases of the eye, but also important structures around the eyes like eyelids, eyebrows, orbit and the tear system which are vital to the normal appearance and function of our eyes.
