First Year: 30,000 Per month

Training Schedule -

Monthly schedule for surgical and clinical postings and class teaching will be shared and have to be strictly adhered to.

Fellowship In Cataract & Refractive

Programme Details

  • First 3 months – Advanced induction module followed by training in OPD of independent case handling, assessment, and management.
  • Comprehensive training in pre-operative assessment and work up for both cataract surgeries and kerato-refractive surgeries.
  • Ample exposure to imaging modalities like PENTACAM, ASOCT, ABERROMETRY, ocular surface analysis and meibography (OSA), intraoperative OCT.
  • Training in pre-operative care and counselling of patients undergoing cataract, kerato-refractive and lens based refractive procedures.
  • Hands on surgical training in SICS, Phacoemulsification, implantation of premium IOLs (toric/ multifocal), refractive procedures like PRK, contoura Femto Lasik, Epi-contoura, SMILE, SILK, Phakic IOL implantation (ICL), topography guided surface ablation(Athens protocol).
  • Exposure to latest technologies like CALYSTO, IOL master 700, ELITA, Anterion.
  • Opportunity to operate on the latest platform with advanced technology such as ELITA in SILK refractive surgery.
  • Dry eye evaluation and management.
  • Keratoconus evaluation and management.
  • First hand assistant in various corneal procedures including keratoplasties, INTACS.
  • Observation/ Assisted/ wet lab/ individual performance of surgeries
  • Case discussions, seminars, journal club presentations will be held weekly.
  • Exposure to scholarly activities such as scientific presentations and publications.
  • Additionally, soft skills like communication, counselling and the administrative management of hospitals are expected to be imbibed during the program.

Fellowship In Cataract & Glaucoma

Programme Details

  • First 3 months – Advanced induction module followed by training in OPD for independent case handling, assessment, and management.
  • Comprehensive training in pre-operative assessment and work up for both cataract surgeries and glaucoma surgeries. 
  • Training in pre-operative care and counselling of patients undergoing cataract, trabeculectomy, glaucoma drainage devices and MIGS procedures. 
  • Ample exposure to automated Visual field testing and imaging modalities like UBM, ASOCT, Anterion, OCT RNFL, ocular surface analysis and meibography (OSA), intraoperative OCT.
  • Exposure to laser procedures like Peripheral iridotomy, laser Iridoplasty, laser synechiolysis, laser suture lysis etc.
  • Hands-on surgical training in SICS, Phacoemulsification, implantation of premium IOLS (toric/ multifocal), glaucoma procedures like trabeculectomy, Glaucoma drainage devices, Bleb revision, combined surgeries etc.
  • Exposure to latest MIGS procedures like kahook blade, I-stent inject implant etc.
  • Observation/ Assisted/ wet lab/ individual performance of surgeries 
  • Case discussions, seminars, journal club presentations will be held weekly.
  • Exposure to scholarly activities such as scientific presentations and publications. 
  • Additionally, soft skills like communication, counselling and the administrative management of hospitals are expected to be imbibed during the program. 

Fellowship In Vitreoretina

Programme Details

  • The program provides an opportunity to obtain both clinical and evidence based experiences.
  • First 3 months: Induction phase, with exposure to OPD and training with the mentors, followed by independent case handling and management.
  • Exposure to imaging modalities like OCT, OCT-Angiography, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, ICGA, Coloured fundus photography with Autofluorescence, USG-Bscan, Ultrasound Biomicroscopy.
  • Case based management of patients of Diabetic retinopathy, Retinal vascular diseases, ARMD, Degenerative peripheral fundal lesions, Retinal detachment, Vitreoretinal interface disorders.
  • Treatment strategies in various types of Uveitis.
  • Diagnostic approach to various genetic retinopathies and maculopathies
  • Hands-on training in medical retina with exposure to OPD based procedures like Indirect ophthalmoscopy, panretinal photocoagulation, focal argon laser photocoagulation, Laser indirect ophthalmoscope.
  • Surgical hands on for training in giving intravitreal injections with availability of latest  anti-VEGFs in the market like Aflibercept, Brolucizumab, Faricimab, and Dexamethasone implants.
  • Surgical and first hand assistant in various Vitreo-retinal surgeries.
  • Opportunity to operate with latest technologies and wide angle viewing system, (Alcon Constellation Vision System and Resight Carl Zeiss).
  • Wet lab training and independent surgeries.
  • Case discussions, seminars, journal club presentations will be held weekly.
  • Exposure to scholarly activities such as scientific presentations and publications.
  • Additionally, soft skills like communication, counselling and the administrative management of hospitals are expected to be imbibed during the program.

Fellowship In Comprehensive

Programme Details

  • As a comprehensive fellow, doctors are posted in each speciality for 3 months on rotation during the entire tenure of 2 years.
  • The specialities include-
    1. Cataract and refractive
    2. Vitreo-retina
    3. Glaucoma
    4. Paediatric ophthalmology
    5. Oculoplasty
  • Ample exposure to imaging modalities like PENTACAM, ASOCT, ABERROMETRY, CALYSTO, ocular surface analysis and meibography (OSA), intraoperative OCT, OCT, OCT-Angiography, Fundus Fluorescein Angiography, ICGA, Coloured fundus photography with Autofluorescence, USG-Bscan, Ultrasound Biomicroscopy, gonioscopy, UBM, ASOCT, Anterion, OCT RNFL, HVF, Syringing
  • Training in pre-operative care and counselling of patients undergoing all kinds of procedures.
  • Hands on surgical training in cataract as well as all types of speciality surgeries, Observation/ Assisted/ wet lab/ individual performance of surgeries
  • Case discussions, seminars, journal club presentations will be held weekly.
  • Exposure to scholarly activities such as scientific presentations and publications under different mentors.
  • Additionally, soft skills like communication, counselling and the administrative management of hospitals are expected to be imbibed during the program.
