Dr. Tripura Velagapudi

Dr. Tripura Velagapudi is an experienced ophthalmologist at Centre For Sight, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, with over 15 years of clinical expertise in advanced eye care and vision correction.

She has performed more than 5,000 topical cataract surgeries using premium intraocular lenses (IOLs) and has extensive experience in refractive procedures, including Phakic IOL, SMILE, Femto LASIK, and Trans PRK. Her clinical focus lies in providing comprehensive solutions for spectacle removal as well as surgical management of cataracts and glaucoma.

Dr. Tripura Velagapudi has strengthened her expertise through specialized training, including a short-term phacoemulsification fellowship at Vaduwala Eye Institute, Baroda, and an advanced phaco fellowship at Centre For Sight, Dwarka. She has also undergone SMILE training under Dr. Rupal Shah at New Vision Laser Centre, Baroda, and completed an online glaucoma course from LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI).

In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in the ophthalmic community. She serves as Joint Secretary for the Vijayawada Ophthalmic Association (VAO), is a Managing Committee Member of Krishna District APOS, and an Executive Committee Member of the Women Ophthalmologists Society (WOS) – AP Chapter.

Dr. Tripura Velagapudi has also contributed academically by presenting papers and conducting instructional courses at both state and national conferences.

She holds an MBBS (2009) and MS in Ophthalmology (2014) from Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh.
