Subsequently he did his fellowship in paediatric ophthalmologyand Strabismus from the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai TN. Dr. Bharat R. Thoumungkan is a Senior Consultant at Centre For Sight, Ahmedabad, with 20+ years of experience in advanced vision correction and cataract care.
He is trained in SMILE, femto laser–assisted robotic eye surgery, LASIK and refractive surgery, cataract surgery, and squint (strabismus) treatment, and also offers newer refractive options like SILK surgery.
His key clinical interests include adult and paediatric cataract surgery, refractive solutions (LASIK) for adults and children, and strabismus (squint) and amblyopia (lazy eye) management.
Dr. Thoumungkan completed MBBS from Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati, followed by MS from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh. He then pursued a fellowship in Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai, and also holds FAICO in LASIK/Refractive Surgery.
