She's a Panophthalmologist for almost 3 decades with expertise in Cataract, Glaucoma, Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus and Neuroophthalmology in both adults and children and a teaching experience of over 25years, Speciality interest includes :Cataract in adults & children including Complicated and Subluxated , Glaucoma-Medical & Surgical both in adults & children; Combined Glaucoma & cataract surgeries, Strabismus both in adults & children, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Neuro-ophthalmology. She recently moved to Delhi, from Amrita Institute, Cochin after 20 years, where she was a Professor and founder head of the Ophthalmology Division. She enjoys her clinical work. Her forte include surgery and teaching and she has graced the podium for numerous presentations at regional, national and international conferences, with many publications to her credit. She has done observership at Jules Stein Eye Centre at UCLA,Los Angles,California in Paed Ophthalmology, Oculoplastics & Refractive surgery and In Paed Ophthalmology at Addenbrooke's hospital in Cambridge UK. She’s a life member of AIOS, Glaucoma Society of India, Strabismus & Paeds Ophthalmic Society & Indian Neuro-Ophthalmic SocietyWomen’s Ophthalmological Society. She has been a member of ASCRS, ESCRS, WGA and WIO.

"Visiting Professor at AIIMS Rishikesh & Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences Cochin. She had been training postgraduates for last 19 yrs both DNB Ophthalmology, and later MS Ophthalmology. She had been the thesis guide for post graduate students for over 19 years.She was the guide for the research paper for BSc Optometry students as well for a decade. Her research interests include Ocular Blood flow, Ocular Perfusion Pressure, Multiple sclerosis, Phaoctrabeculectomies, Bleb morphology with AS-OCT, OCT glaucoma and Neuroophthalmology, dry eye, subluxated lens management, Normotensive glaucoma, Visual fields in neuroophthalmology She has been Clinical Investigator in Multicentre drug trial for Gatifloxacin & Acular."

Winner of The Best Physical poster in Glaucoma in AIOC Indore 2019 on Ocular Blood flow She is currently on the Editorial board for Amrita Journal of Medicine & Indian J of Ophthalmology, and has been on the editorial board of Kerala Journal of Ophthalmology Involved in & interested in Medical Education & Implementation of the new MBBS curriculum LDP Graduate 2010-11 batch of AIOS Member Ethics Committee of All India Ophthalmological Society of India 2012 Member of the AIOS Governing Council 2020-2021.
